Tamil Nadu has cemented its lead in electronics exports further, with the state setting a new record of $12.62Bn in shipment value in the first 11 months of this fiscal year, as per data from NIRYAT (the National Import-Export Record for Yearly Analysis of Trade).
The state accounted for 37.09% of India’s electronics goods exports of $34.02Bn from April 2024 till last month.
“Tamil Nadu is poised to become a “key spoke” in the global electronics supply chain. This will be driven by strong tailwinds from a fairly mature electronics manufacturing ecosystem, proactive policy environment and robust infrastructure, including land, air and port connectivity. The state also benefits from a highly skilled engineering talent pool and institutions of higher learning that foster and support the state to scale- up on its high-value electronics production.”
